The 47th season of „Magnēts”

April 5, 2016 is the starting point of the new “Magnēts” season – already the 47th one. „Vasaras (Summer) Magnēts” and „Ziemas (Winter) Magnēts” make the two parts of the year-long series.

“Vasaras Magnēts” welcomes you every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from April 5 to October 6, while “Ziemas Magnēts” lasts from October 9 to April 2 on Saturday and Sunday of every week. So, you are welcome to “Magnēts” during the whole year!

Our major orienteering events:

Rīga Orienteering Week (Riga O-Week) 19.04 – 24.04 offers you three traditional afternoon events held at Kalngale, Bumbukalns and Biķernieki (special prizes each day) and culminates at a two-day event Rīgas kausi (Riga Cup) near Baldone – at Riekstukalns. The biggest orienteering festival in Baltics with foreign participants from all around the Baltic Sea, online internet translation, the big screen in the event centre, interviews, forecasts and GPS tracking.



Latvian MTBO 3-days 17.-19.06 Smiltene. Traditional 3-day MTBO event welcoming both world class MTB orienteers and all enthusiasts of the discipline.



Traditional Rīgas stafetes (Riga Relay) event near Baldone – at Riekstukalns on 28.08. The most emotional team-spirit competition for club teams of 10 runners of various ages and qualifications. Online translation, the big screen, interviews, forecasts, GPS tracking.

Tautas Rogainings ( Folk Rogaine) with the longest history in Latvia on 18.09 - 4 and 8 hour rogaine for teams of 2 – 5 participants.

Jūrmala Rogaine 29.10 - 3 and 6 hour rogaine and 4 hour MTB rogaine.
